Right here in our salon! Our groomers are mentored by Ashley Bailey, manager and groomer extraordinaire. Ashley has been grooming since 2011 and was mentored by one of the Cape’s finest. Groomers in training, first work as bathers to learn proper washing and handling (and patience!). Once they demonstrate our strict Hot Diggity standards with ease, they learn scissor skills and breed specific haircuts. The entire process takes about a year. Something that is important to know is that grooming is an unregulated business in Massachusetts. Meaning, anyone can pick up a pair of scissors and call themselves a groomer. We know, we want that to change too.

Your pup will be with us for 3-4 hours. If an expedited service is preferred, it must be expressed at the time of booking and there is an additional fee. Your groomer will discuss if they think this is a good option for your dog. Most dogs prefer a break in-between the process.

We require proof of a current rabies vaccine or valid titre test for any dog having a service provided by our team. That includes walk-in services. While we do not require a kennel cough (Bordatella) or influenza vaccinations, it is strongly recommended.

Your dog’s bath is completely tailored to their unique coat type and skin condition. We only use shampoos formulated for dogs by reputable brands that do not contain harsh chemicals, irritants or perfumes. We offer hypoallergenic options for super sensitive pups, chlorhexidine treatments and all-natural flea dips.

For an accurate estimate, please bring your dog by the salon between the hours of 10am and 3pm any day of the week to meet with a groomer. Ultimately, we don’t know until we have your dog on the table if there will be any additional charges on top of the base price. Additional fees include de-matting, excess undercoat removal, pre-shaving and special handling - should your dog require more than one groomer to safely complete the groom.

Absolutely! We ask that all past grooming experiences and medical history be disclosed to us prior to your dogs first groom. That way we can make sure they have the best experience possible with us. We know dogs. We know most hate being groomed. Our goal is to make them hate it a little less each time until they love coming to see their groomer.

Last minute cancellations (less than 24-hour notice) and No-Shows are charged full price of their grooming. Unless previously arranged with your groomer, we are unable to accommodate late arrivals. Clients that are more than 15 minutes late to their appointment are considered no-shows. We offer several appointment reminders by client preference; email, text, phone call or all three.
